The Turkmen delegation headed by Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan R. Dzhepbarov made a working visit to Japan from December 13 to 16. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Members of the Turkmen delegation held talks with representatives of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation. In addition, meetings were held with heads of Japanese government agencies, organizations, financial institutions and leading Japanese companies.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the energy sector, as well as measures to achieve carbon neutrality. A number of bilateral documents on Turkmen-Japanese cooperation were signed following the talks, including those on the activation of direct air service between the countries.
