Turkmenistan and Pakistan discuss cooperation in the fuel and energy sector

Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov today met with Federal Minister of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Musadik Masood Malik. About it reports Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The agenda of the talks focused on expanding cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. In this regard, the sides considered steps to intensify the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-Iran transnational gas pipeline project. The participants of the meeting expressed mutual confidence that the project would contribute to sustainable socio-economic development of the Asian countries.

The sides expressed confidence in further development of bilateral cooperation, including the practical implementation of the TAPI project.
