Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Communications A.Khlutkov (St. Petersburg, Russia) and Deputy Head of "Turkmendenizderyaellary" A.Kosyaev (Turkmenistan) held an online meeting. The parties discussed partnership in shipbuilding industry and agreed on Russian assembly of ships for our country.
The meeting resulted in a bilateral agreement to sign a memorandum of cooperation between Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation and the Balkan enterprise (Turkmenistan). Besides, prospects of new logistic routes between Turkmen-Russian ports of the Caspian Sea were considered during negotiations.
Trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically, in particular, as evidenced by the growth of trade turnover by 78.21 million tons in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.
