Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov today held a telephone conversation with his Zambian counterpart, Mulambo Haimbe, during which the parties discussed preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The foreign ministers of the two countries exchanged views on the further development of bilateral relations in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic spheres. Particular attention was paid to bilateral interaction within the framework of international organizations, primarily in the UN.
During the talks, the Ministers reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3). It is worth noting that the Republic of Zambia actively participated in the UN Ministerial Transport Conference for Landlocked Developing Countries held on August 15-16, 2022.
The telephone talks between the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Zambia reaffirm the desire of both countries to strengthen cooperation in the international arena and coordinate efforts in addressing issues concerning landlocked developing countries.
