Turkmenistan participates in the Infestforum in Samarkand within the framework of UNWTO GA

Turkmenistan is taking part in the Global Investment Forum opened on October 17 within the framework of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in Samarkand. This is reported on the website Orient.news.

During the opening session of the UNWTO General Assembly Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan will increase to 15 million people a year by 2030, and domestic tourists - to 25 million.

According to Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, the country has introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of about a hundred states and a simplified regime for citizens of 55 states.

An exhibition of tourism and investment potential of tourist and recreational areas of Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan, was organized as part of the forum.
