Participants in the three-day Specialized Course on Human Change in Warsaw included staff from the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Interior Ministry, and the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan. During the course, ODIHR experts gave presentations related to legal aid, democratic lawmaking, strengthening the rule of law, and other legal areas.
Specialists from the Ombudsman's Office and government officials in Turkmenistan learned about international best practices in ensuring human rights and democracy in OSCE participating States. Course participants also learned about human rights policies in Turkmenistan.
