Turkmenistan develops transportation infrastructure

At today's enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers plans for further development of transport and railway infrastructure of Turkmenistan were discussed. The information is reported by the news program Watan.

According to the head of the Agency of Transport and Communications M. Chakyev, work is underway to strengthen the material and technical base and improve the activities of the national railway operator "Turkmendemiryollary".

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of railway transport in realizing the transit potential of the country and improving the logistics system.

The head of state instructed to more actively introduce modern technologies, to increase the industry's export capacity, and to create conditions for multimodal logistics transportation.

The development of transport infrastructure is one of the key priorities of Turkmenistan's economic program.
