Chisinau, July 10 - Arzuw.news. Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in a regional event on modernization of customs administration, which was held in the capital of Moldova. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The Forum was organized within the framework of the project "Ready4Trade Central Asia", implemented by the International Trade Centre with the support of the European Union. The Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova provided assistance in the organization.
The event was held in the format of Peer Learning Initiative with the participation of customs and private sector representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Moldova and Turkey.
The participants studied the best practices of interaction with participants of foreign economic activity and considered the peculiarities of implementation of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) programs. These programs are aimed at facilitating international trade and improving the efficiency of customs procedures.
The forum discussed the modernization of customs administration and the creation of favorable conditions for doing business. A separate session was devoted to Moldova's experience in implementing the AEO program with the participation of Moldovan companies holding AEO certificates and the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
