Turkmenistan deepens cooperation in oil and gas sector

On July 29, negotiations of Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry leaders with the delegation of ADNOC (United Arab Emirates) took place in the oil and gas complex of the country, - reports the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the talks with the ADNOC delegation headed by Senior Vice President of the Company Abdullah Al Shamsi, the parties paid special attention to the implementation of a large-scale project for the development of the third stage of the Galkynysh gas field.

It should be recalled that in 2022-2024, during the visits of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the United Arab Emirates, solid foundations for cooperation in the field of oil and gas were laid. At present, joint projects aimed at increasing hydrocarbon production and processing are being actively implemented.

In particular, important documents were signed defining specific areas and parameters of joint activities at the Galkynysh gas field. Currently, the process of implementation of the bilateral agreements is in an active phase. The parties are substantially considering legal, commercial, investment, financial, technical and other components of the Galkynysh gas field development project.

The implementation of the third stage of the Galkynysh gas field development is directly related to the advancement of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.

One of the key features of the current stage of negotiations was ADNOC's expression of readiness to cooperate with Kazakh oil and gas companies. Turkmenistan, in turn, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of participation of neighboring states in the implementation of large-scale international gas projects.
