Turkmenistan strengthens cooperation with GIZ on sustainable energy development

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Government of Turkmenistan are working to promote energy efficiency in Central Asia. To improve environmental performance, GIZ is focusing on cooperation with national governments on energy legislation. This is reported by the online publication "Westiabad."

Joachim Fritz, GIZ Coordinator in Turkmenistan, during the CIET 2024 conference spoke about the launch of the Green Turkmenistan initiative, which aims to improve energy efficiency and environmental protection. The GIZ Coordinator emphasized that the use of "green technologies" for clean energy is extremely important for Turkmenistan and the entire Central Asian region.
