At the government meeting on August 14, Deputy Prime Minister Meredov reported to the President on the results of Turkmenistan's fuel and energy sector development in January-July 2020.
The Deputy Prime Minister's report highlighted the successes of the industry in 7 months, in particular with regard to the implementation of the plans:
- Oil and gas condensate production (102.4%)
- gas production (101.6%), with a growth rate of 118.4% for liquefied gas output
- export of "blue fuel" (100.4%)
- oil refining (103.7%)
- production of gasoline (102.3%) and diesel fuel (106.9%).
The leader of the nation focused participants' attention on the urgency of building new and modernizing existing plants for processing the country's raw material reserves. Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov also emphasized the importance of using innovative developments and active work to train high-level specialists.
For the TAPI gas pipeline, the head of state ordered that the construction work be accelerated.
These and other challenges facing the oil and gas complex were discussed at yesterday's industry meeting chaired by Meredov.
