Turkmenistan overfulfilled its melon harvesting plan

Farmers of Gizilarbat etrap of Balkan velayat of Turkmenistan have exceeded the planned plan for harvesting melons. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

Every year farmers of Gizilarbat etrap grow 42 thousand tons of melons. This year this figure was exceeded by more than a thousand tons and amounted to more than 43 thousand tons of watermelons and melons. Farmers grow dozens of different varieties of melons in their fields. Watermelons and melons grown on these lands are widely demanded by consumers all over the country.

Especially melons are often used for making traditional dishes - kak (dried melon) and toşap (boiled watermelon juice). Turkmen melons and watermelons are valued all over the world due to their unique taste, aroma and saturation with useful vitamins.
