Turkmen experts visited Turkey to study experience in combating desertification

A delegation of Turkmen experts visited the Republic of Turkey within the framework of FAO/GEF and UNDP projects to study the experience of improving natural resources management in the arid regions of Central Asia and Turkey. This is reported by the Internet publication "AsmanNews.

Representatives of Turkmen agencies and ministries responsible for environmental protection and agriculture were familiarized with the successful experience of Turkish colleagues in combating desertification, rational use of water resources and restoration of degraded soil.
Delegates learned hands-on about modern techniques in the agricultural and environmental field through a visit to experimental farms and woodlands.

The Turkmen specialists noted that they will actively apply the acquired knowledge to implement similar projects in Turkmenistan.
