Farmers in Turkmenistan's Lebap province have started preparations for sowing winter wheat for next year's harvest. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
This year 130 thousand hectares of fertile land have been allocated for the future white wheat harvest. Farmers carry out threshing, planning and weeding in accordance with agrotechnical norms. Highly efficient special equipment is used in agricultural works - earth-moving tractors, planning and weeding equipment.
Agrarians pay special attention to plowing depth and soil preparation. Competent preparation and proper sowing of seeds will ensure a rich wheat harvest. Phosphate fertilizers have already been distributed on 50% of sown areas. A total of 26 thousand 975 tons of fertilizers have been prepared, on average 207 kg per hectare of land.
