Turkmen and Uzbek filmmakers created a movie about Makhtumkuli

Turkmen and Uzbek filmmakers have created a joint biographical film about the Turkmen poet in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.

The film was directed by Muzaffarkhan Erkinov, a cinematographer from Uzbekistan. The script for the movie was written by Turkmen authors Ore Dashgynov and Rakhimberdi Annagulyev and two Uzbek authors. Filming took place on the territories of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The role of Makhtumkuli was played by a young actor of the Makhtumkuli National Musical Drama Theater of Turkmenistan Akhmet Amandurdyev, the image of his father D. Azadi was successfully embodied by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Chari Berdiev, and the minor roles were played by talented Turkmen and Uzbek actors. The movie will be presented at the international festival "Korkut Ata" to be held in Turkmenistan in November this year.
