Turkmen shipbuilders start assembling Damen dredger

In Turkmenistan, specialists of the Balkan Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Plant are assembling the CSD 650 dredger from Damen under the order of Söwda Gurluşyk Maslahat under the supervision of Damen Shipyards Group engineers. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The specialist of "Balkan" shipyard made a working trip to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, during which he took part in dredger tests, familiarized himself with technical characteristics and peculiarities of the dredger operation, studied preparation of design documents and parts for assembly in Turkmenistan, and also met with the management of Damen Shipyards Group.

The assembly of the Damen dredger at the Balkan plant will be an important step towards the localization of production in Turkmenistan, which will reduce the cost of their purchase and create new jobs.
