The delegation of Turkmen athletes was solemnly welcomed at the international airport of Paris on July 23, 2024. This is reported on the website Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, members of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, employees of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in France and representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Olympics in Paris, as well as volunteers took part in the ceremony of welcoming the athletes who arrived in France to participate in the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games.
Turkmen athletes will represent the country at the Summer Olympics in four disciplines - swimming, judo, weightlifting and track and field athletics. The day before, a solemn ceremony of seeing off the Turkmen athletes to the Olympic Games in Paris was held in the sports complex of martial arts of the Olympic city of Ashgabat.
