Creative evening in honor of the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli was held in Tashkent

On November 6, the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Uzbekistan named after A. Navoi hosted an event in honor of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen thinker and poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi. The event was attended by prominent political and public figures of Uzbekistan, representatives of creative circles, government officials, journalists, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying in Uzbekistan.

During the event, it was noted that the work of the great poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fraghi remains relevant throughout the centuries, and the humanistic ideals contained in his works are of great importance for the rapprochement of countries and peoples.

Musical compositions on the poems of Makhtumkuli Fraghi were performed at the creative evening. In addition, the event included a ceremony of laying flowers at the poet's monument in Tashkent.
