Two films of Turkmenistan will be shown at the Kazan Film Festival

Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm will present two films at the 21st Kazan International Film Festival "Altyn Minbar", which will be held from September 5 to 9 in the capital of Tatarstan. Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

In the special program "Through the prism of memory", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the film "Tree of Fate" directed by Sakhysalykh Bayramov will be shown. The 2023 picture tells the story of a woman named Nazik, who is waiting for the return of her spouse from the front and continues to water a withered tree without losing faith in the best.

The joint Turkmen-Uzbek project "Makhtumkuli Fraghi" 2024 will be included in the program "Russia - Islamic World". The tape is dedicated to the life of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker of the 18th century and was created for the 300th anniversary of his birth. The movie covers the period of Makhtumkuli's education in the Kukeldash madrassah in Bukhara and Shergazi-khan madrassah in Khiva.

Earlier, the painting "Makhtumkuli Fraghi" was presented in Astrakhan at the X Caspian Media Forum with the participation of delegates from Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Amangeldy Ataev emphasized that joint work on the project contributed to strengthening intercultural ties between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Next year the Turkmenfilm Association will celebrate the centennial of its activity.
