The two-day seminar, which focused on the advantages and problems of free economic zones, was held in the capital of Turkmenistan on November 10-11. The event was organized by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat. The aim of the seminar was to support the country's efforts in attracting investment capital and improving FEA.
National and foreign experts were among the leading speakers of the event. They presented the concepts of free economic zones, the main principles of their organization and the conditions of operation of free economic zones in Turkmenistan. Foreign experts shared their experience in organizing free economic zones, highlighted topics on organizing customs control and assessing the effectiveness of free economic zones.
The event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, members of the SPPT, state customs officials, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Trade and FEA, etc.
