Turkmenistan is improving its shipbuilding industry

At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on October 25, Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammetkhan Chakyev presented a report on improving the material and technical base of the shipbuilding industry of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

It was noted that in order to accelerate the construction of dry cargo ships, advanced technologies and automation systems are introduced in the industry, and specialists are regularly trained. The construction of new dry cargo ships will increase the volume of transported cargo through the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of modernization of material and technical base and noted the special role played by the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in this direction. In this regard, the head of state gave specific instructions to take appropriate measures to modernize the material and technical base of the enterprise.
