Today, representatives of Turkmenistan and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development signed two investment agreements totaling $100 million. One of the agreements regulates the issues of financing construction of the Jebel airport (Balkan region) for $75 million, the second - financing construction of a 10 MW power plant for $25 million.
Rakhimberdy Dzhepbarov, head of the management board of Vnesheconombank of Turkmenistan, and Muhammad Saif Al Suwaidi, general director of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, signed the agreements. Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov and Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Head of the UAE Ministry of Energy and other high-ranking officials of the two countries also took part in the signing ceremony.

The documents signed today in Abu Dhabi are aimed at the infrastructural transformation of Turkmenistan, the implementation of projects contributing to the economic development of the state, improving the standard of living of citizens and the implementation of the SDGs.
