Turkmenistan develops key transit routes

At the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov spoke about the key role of expanding the infrastructure of the West-East and North-South transit routes. The head of state emphasized that large-scale work is being done to develop freight and passenger transportation by different types of transport to realize the international transit potential of the country. Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted Turkmenistan's active cooperation with the UN and other major international organizations in this area. According to the President, the development of the China-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran corridor to form a multimodal route from Asia-Pacific countries to Europe is also in focus.

In this context, the construction of production and social facilities of the transport and communications complex will continue, as well as the strengthening of its logistical support.
