June 2, Ashgabat, /Arzuw NEWS/. The pilot program "Creating an ecosystem for start-ups" conducted by the National Public Association "Union of Economists of Turkmenistan" was launched today. The program will be supported by two projects of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which are implemented in Turkmenistan by international companies JA Worldwide and Palladium International LLC.
The program has attracted six innovative Turkmenistan-based business companies (so-called mentor companies) whose strategic plans include providing services to accelerate the realization of startup companies' ideas. In the process of working with startup teams, which each of the mentor companies independently selects, it is planned to use the experience of Turkmen and international experts.
In the course of the program, within 4 months startup teams will create their innovative products, and at the end of the program, two participants from each of the six companies will get into the final competition, where they will present their business projects to a jury of experienced experts and businessmen. And the winners will have the opportunity to establish promising business contacts with future partners and potential investors.
At the end of the program, the organizers plan to continue working with the most successful mentor companies to further develop the innovation market in Turkmenistan. The organizers hope that the consistent implementation of such programs will increase the innovative potential of the Turkmen economy, improve the conditions for youth entrepreneurship and create new high-tech jobs.
