The working trip of the President of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan is completed

The state visit of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Tajikistan ended on May 11. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

On May 11, Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues related to the transportation sector.

In this context, the prospects of transport corridor along the route Tajikistan - Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Iran - Türkiye, as well as the possibility of organizing multimodal cargo transportation between China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan with access to the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea were discussed.

In addition, the sides discussed cooperation in the textile industry and the possibility of establishing a textile enterprise in Tajikistan with the participation of Turkmen specialists.

Agriculture, metallurgical industry and trade were also named as promising areas of bilateral cooperation.
