The Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that currently the bilateral work is underway to open trading houses of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in order to promote goods and expand business contacts of Turkmen and Kazakh companies. The Kazakh Foreign Ministry stressed that the state attaches great importance to deepening trade and economic partnership with Turkmenistan. Energy, fuel, transport, transit and industrial sectors are named as the key vectors of cooperation.
The Foreign Ministry report notes that both states, which are strategic partners, are significant players in the energy market, and the transit of gas from Turkmenistan to China through Kazakhstan has been successfully carried out for more than ten years.
