Turkmenfilm" studio will present a short film about the events of the war years. The feature film will be released on Victory Day, May 9.
Salikh Bayramov's film Gyzyl kurte is based on a true story. It tells the story of a girl who accompanied her lover to the front and wore a kurta (headdress, the national equivalent of a veil) as a symbol of her devotion to her lover until her last days.
The central themes of the film deal with the relationships and touching, sincere emotions of people during the difficult period of the Great Patriotic War. The director convincingly depicts the hardships of the war years, forcing the viewer to follow the unfolding storyline uninterruptedly.
The natural setting of the film was the beautiful mountainous terrain of the Bahardena region, where the filming process took place.
