On April 9, Serdar Berdymukhamedov received the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan at the head of a diplomatic delegation.
During the conversation at the highest level, politicians expressed their views on further partnership with the priority areas of foreign trade, agriculture, processing, transport, fuel and energy industries.
Politicians noted the importance of increasing the volume of foreign economic activity and establishing bilateral cooperation between the business communities of both states. The parties emphasized the leading role of the intergovernmental commission chaired by A. Overchuk in the development of economic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan.
The interlocutors recognized the need to strengthen ties in the fields of culture, art and education. They paid attention to cooperation in the Caspian Sea, in particular to shipping issues.
