The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree on the recognition of diplomas of foreign universities

On March 28, Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a document, thanks to which foreign diplomas will be valid on the territory of Turkmenistan. The essence of the presidential order is that the Innovation and Information Center of the Ministry of Education is recognized as an institution authorized to perform the functions of national information centers specified in the Convention on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications in Higher Education in the European Region.

The order will be valid after the adoption of the necessary amendments and changes to the existing legislation of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the state news agency Turkmenistan Today.

It is specified that "professional qualification" implies not only documents on graduation from higher education institutions, but also - on obtaining a specialty in secondary vocational education institutions.
