President of Turkmenistan announces launch of new TV channel Arkadag

Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the creation of a new TV channel "Arkadag", which will start broadcasting in September this year in a 15-hour mode. This was reported by the information portal "Business Turkmenistan".

The TV channel is being created to develop and improve the efficiency of television, as well as to further improve the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography. The creation of the new TV channel is intended to ensure the creation of bright and interesting TV programs about independent Turkmenistan of today, in particular - about the achievements of the country and the "smart" city of Arkadag.

The State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography together with the Ministry of Adalat should prepare within a month for further approval amendments and changes in the current legislation in accordance with the signed Decree.
