Avaza, August 6 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev in the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The conference is being held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone under the motto "Promoting Progress through Partnerships". The forum is aimed at effective implementation of the new Program of Action for Landlocked Developing Countries, which was adopted last December.
The head of the Kyrgyz government conveyed greetings from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and noted the friendly visit of the Turkmen leader to Kyrgyzstan in April this year.
During the talks, the sides emphasized the fraternal relations between the two states based on the principles of good-neighborliness and mutual understanding. The sides noted the effectiveness of cooperation within the UN, CIS, Organization of Turkic States and other multilateral formats.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the issues of transport and logistics interconnectivity and creation of effective transportation routes of strategic importance. The importance of cultural and humanitarian partnership in the field of science, education and culture for further rapprochement of the peoples of the two countries was also emphasized.
