Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Israel meet

On April 20, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The development of political and diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Israel, including within the framework of international organizations, was discussed during the meeting. Rashid Meredov spoke in favor of expanding inter-parliamentary ties between the countries and emphasized the need to strengthen the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.

The parties also expressed interest in strengthening trade and economic ties and developing cooperation in agriculture, water management, medicine and innovative technologies.

During the meeting Eli Cohen stated Israel's readiness to share its experience, including within the framework of the activities of the Agency for the Development of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
