A native of Turkmenistan became the winner of the PFUR recitation contest

A native of Turkmenistan, Surai Seidova, a student of a Japanese university, became the best reciter of the international contest called "Poem Marathon" organized by the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Surai Seidova won in the nomination "Verse from afar". This is reported on the website of Orient news.

To take part in the contest, it was necessary to make a video of a poem recited by one of the Russian classic poets. Surai chose Bella Akhmadulina's poem "In that month of May".

In total, reciters from 54 countries and 31 Russian cities took part in the contest. The event included poems by Sergey Esenin, Anna Akhmatova, Alexander Pushkin, Robert Rozhdestvensky and other great Russian poets.

The "Poem Marathon" was timed to coincide with the Days of Slavonic Script and Russian Language. The cultural event united participants from different countries and continents.
