Ashgabat hosted a concert with participation of the best artists of Turkmenistan, timed to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of famous Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This was reported by the online edition of "Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".
The stage of the Makhtumkuli National Music and Drama Theater hosted performances of the People's Artists of Turkmenistan, imbued with respect for the outstanding poet and his literary heritage.
The concert was attended by artists and admirers of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's works. Between musical numbers, the actor in the guise of Makhtumkuli Fraghi read poems of the great Turkmen poet, including such famous works as "Durasyň geler", "Näme sen", "Bu gün". The concert elicited a lively response from the audience.
