The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Program signed an agreement on the purchase of medical products for the control of infectious diseases for 2024-2025. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Funding for the joint project is provided by the Government of Turkmenistan. The project aims to ensure universal and widespread accessibility of medical services to combat tuberculosis and other infectious diseases for the population.
This will be achieved through uninterrupted supply of necessary medicines to medical institutions. The qualifications of health care workers and a smooth transition to full state funding of infectious disease control are important in this regard.
