The exposition dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi opened in the Exhibition Center of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Turkmen artist Khojamuhammet Churiev, inspired by the poems of Makhtumkuli Fraghi, painted 55 paintings last year. The organizers of the exposition placed lines of Makhtumkuli's poems that served as a source of inspiration near each of the paintings.
Artist and art historian Berdyguly Amansakhatov made a speech during the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Churiev's work has been highly appreciated by professionals and amateurs of painting.
The artist was presented a gift from the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan in the form of a blank canvas and a set of paints to continue working in the chosen direction.
