Italy and Turkmenistan develop archaeological cooperation

Italian Ambassador to Turkmenistan held a meeting with Prof. Barbara Cerasetti, who heads the archaeological project TAP-Togolok in Turkmenistan's Murghab region. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Italian Embassy.

The research work is being carried out in an area located about 400 kilometers from Ashgabat. The project is aimed at studying Bronze Age monuments and is being implemented by the archaeological mission of the International Association for Mediterranean and Oriental Studies in Rome.

Scientific research is conducted in active cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and other international partners. The project demonstrates the successful development of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.

The TAP-Togolok archaeological program is an important example of international cooperation in the study of the region's historical heritage.
