Turkmenistan marked the state holiday with an official reception in Seoul

The capital of the Republic of Korea hosted a reception organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in honor of the 34th anniversary of the country's independence, the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The event was attended by officials of the Korean government, diplomatic corps, as well as Turkmen students. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. 

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Mr. B. Durdyev delivered a welcoming speech. Durdiyev, who spoke about the historical achievements and large-scale initiatives implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He emphasized that the UN resolution on declaring 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust initiated by Turkmenistan serves as a confirmation of its peace-loving foreign policy.

In his remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Un noted the high level of bilateral relations achieved through the efforts of the two heads of state. He referred to the recent telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung as a confirmation of the significant potential for further cooperation.

An exhibition of Turkmen arts and crafts was organized for the guests of the event, and traditional national dishes were offered.
