Fitness Games in honor of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the UAE were held in Turkmenistan

The indoor track and field arena of the Olympic City in Ashgabat hosted the Fitness Games international competition on October 4. The sports event was organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan with the assistance of the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports. The competition was timed to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE. It is reported online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

Representatives of the sports committee, heads of diplomatic missions and students attended the opening ceremony. Turkmen track and field athletes, gymnasts, martial artists, amateurs and representatives of the diplomatic corps took part in the competitions. The program included a family race, a dance competition and a set of burpee exercises.

The winners received valuable prizes from the Embassy, and Fly Dubai air tickets were raffled off among the guests. Speaking at the ceremony, the UAE Ambassador noted the dynamic development of relations between the friendly countries on the principles of mutual respect and expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Shohrat Mammedov emphasized in his speech that Turkmenistan actively develops international sports cooperation and promotes the values of peace and friendliness through sports.
