On October 7, during his visit to Azerbaijan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation of a new mosque in the town of Fizuli with the help of a digital platform, reports the "Westiabad".
The mosque will be a gift from the Turkmen people to Azerbaijan. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude to Hero Arkadag, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the entire Turkmen people for this generous gesture.
The floor was given to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who emphasized the historical significance of the event and noted that the construction of mosques, bridges and roads is considered a sacred deed among the Turkmen people.
- The mosque is the house of God, so in the future, the past will be remembered here, prayers will be offered for peace and prosperity of our countries. May the Almighty accept the prayers that will be recited in this mosque," expressed Hero-Arkadagh.
After that, the Muftis of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan recited ayats of the Koran and offered prayers for the well-being of the peoples of both countries.
Then the heads of delegations symbolically touched the screen, marking the beginning of construction, after which a commemorative capsule with an inscription was laid in the foundation, and the participants of the event began pouring the concrete mixture. During the ceremony, videos of the future temple were shown.
The construction of the mosque will be undertaken by the private enterprise "Aga-gurluşyk", and financing will be provided by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
The new mosque in Fizuli will become a symbol of humanism, unity and devotion to noble traditions. It will serve as a center of spiritual development and preservation of cultural values that the Turkmen people have been carefully maintaining for centuries.
Having completed the official visit, the National Leader of the Turkmen people went to Gabala International Airport and returned to Ashgabat, where he was met by the officials.
Hero-Arkadag's participation in this Summit once again emphasized the active role of Turkmenistan as a partner of the Organization's member countries, reaffirming the state's commitment to strengthening ties between brotherly peoples united by common historical, cultural and spiritual values.
