Brussels hosted a round table dedicated to the "green" policy of Central Asian countries and the development of the region's energy potential. The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries, heads of companies and research institutes of Europe. This is reported by the online edition "TurkmenPortal.
Sapar Palvanov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, spoke at the Round Table on behalf of Turkmenistan and described Turkmenistan's energy policy. The state's commitment to the development of industry based on renewable energy sources and diversification of the energy sector was noted. The Ambassador emphasized the great potential of Turkmenistan in the development of solar energy, noting that a large number of sunny days per year contributes to this.
Sapar Palvanov also spoke about Turkmenistan's plans to join the Global Methane Commitment.
