Babasary Annamyradov gallery started its work in Ashgabat

The gallery of People's Artist of Turkmenistan Babasary Annamyradov was opened in Ashgabat to mark the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality. It is reported AsmanNews.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the State Academy of Arts, colleagues, friends and relatives of the master. After the official part, the guests familiarized themselves with the exposition and socialized in an informal atmosphere.

The gallery presents more than 300 works created in different years and reflecting the wide creative range of the author - from realism and impressionism to cubism, abstractionism and modernism.

According to Babasary Annamyradov, the main goal of the gallery is to preserve important works of Turkmen art and pass them on to future generations of artists.

Babasary Annamyradov is the People's Artist of Turkmenistan, an honorary foreign member of the Russian Academy of Arts and one of the founders of the national school of sculpture. In different years he headed the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan and was a member of the Executive Committee of the CIS Confederation of Artists' Unions.
