On November 26, the draw of the 14th World Kurash Wrestling Championship-2023 was held in the conference hall of the Turgenler Hotel in the Olympic City of Ashgabat with the participation of representatives of coaching and refereeing staff who arrived at the tournament. In the evening, a festive concert by masters of culture and arts of Turkmenistan was held for the athletes taking part in the world championship in belt wrestling.
Over 240 wrestlers from 50 countries, including Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Mongolia, Kuwait, UAE, India, Iraq, Iran, Colombia, Romania, Mexico and Zimbabwe, will take part in the tournament. During two days on November 27 and 28, Turkmen and foreign athletes will compete for 15 sets of awards in seven men's and eight women's weight categories.
