In the qualifying match of the AFC Cup-2021, "Altyn Asyr" (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan) defeated "Alai" (Osh, Kyrgyzstan) with a score of 5:4. The match was held at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
The game started with an auto-goal by Alai midfielder Oybek Abdugafforov in the 2nd minute. In the 29th minute, Kyrgyz defender Aidar Mambetaliev leveled the score at 1-1. 41 minutes into the match Altymurad Annadurdyev, playing in the position of defensive midfielder, successfully converted a penalty and put his team ahead. In the 44th minute another defensive midfielder from Turkmenistan Vezirgeldy Ilyasov increased the gap to two goals. It would seem that Altyn Asyr players could go to the break with a peaceful mind.
Turkmenistan players didn't relax after taking the field in the second half, with a pass from Vezirgeldy Ilyasov, forward Mikhail Titov sealed the Turkmen club's dominance with a 4-1 score. Self-goals by defenders Guichmurat Annaguliev in the 72nd minute and Furkat Tursunov in the 83rd minute darkened the overall picture. Just before the end of the second half, Adilet Nurlan uulu, a young defender from Alaya, evened the score at 4:4.
Already in the 3rd extra minute, Altymurad Annadurdyev scored his second goal of the game, saving the club from the capital of Turkmenistan!
