Delegates of Turkmenistan and international organizations involved in transport cooperation met in the video format. Turkmenistan was represented by the leadership and specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Finance, state agencies of the transport industry, who negotiated in the online format with representatives of specialized agencies UNDP, UNECE, ESCAP, global financial institutions.
There was an exchange of views on increasing partnership in the transport sector, including the simplification and unification of border crossing procedures. Recommendations prepared as a result of expert consultations in February 2021 were considered: on the organization of trial safe (according to sanitary and epidemiological standards) transport and transit caravans, improvement of Turkmenbashi sea port, digitalization of the transport industry of Turkmenistan.
