The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a videoconference between the management of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan and Anton Zlatopolsky, first deputy director general of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company" (VGTRK).
Participants in the talks expressed interest in expanding partnerships in the exchange of information, cooperation through the media. Basic milestones of cooperation for 2021 were considered, including coverage of events dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of state independence of Turkmenistan, as well as the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat in the media of the Russian Federation.
The negotiation process resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two state broadcasters.
