On January 6, a regular meeting of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan was held, at which the head coach of the national team, as well as the coach of the youth teams, the Turkmen futsal team and the women's team were appointed. This is reported on the official website of the FFT (tff.com.tm).
Mergen Orazov, the head coach of the national soccer team, has become the coach of FC Akhal. It was under his guidance that the soccer club won the title of Turkmenistan's champion for the first time in its history last season. At the end of last season, Orazov was deservedly named the best coach of 2022.
Yakub Ovezov was appointed head futsal coach. Under his guidance, the Denizchi team won the country's Super League, and Ovezov himself was recognized as Turkmenistan's best futsal coach.
The contracts of the head coaches of the Under-20 and Under-23 teams, as well as the head coach of the women's team, were extended.
