The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Organizational State Committee set up to prepare for the celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and declared by the UN General Assembly 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust". The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis and members of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the key issues of organizing international events, cultural and scientific forums were discussed. The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the importance of this anniversary year for the country, noting the significance of Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy and its role in the global support of peace and trust.
Addressing the head of Mejlis D. Gulmanova, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty noted the importance of improving legislative activity in the light of the planned activities and expansion of propaganda and educational work among the population. It was also emphasized the necessity of working out together with Deputy Prime Minister H.Geldimiradov and Chairman of the Central Bank the project of jubilee medal and commemorative sign on the occasion of "International Year of Peace and Trust" and glorious 30th anniversary of neutrality of the country.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalliyev was instructed to prepare proposals related to various designs of food products packages, placing on them the motto and symbol of the current year, which will decorate the festive dastarkhan.
Then, addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov, supervising the city of Ashgabat, Hero-Arkadag instructed to create the most comfortable conditions for cultural recreation of residents and guests of the capital during the days of the events, to ensure its beautification and decorative works in the context of the motto of the year.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people gave instructions to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Ataguliyev, who is in charge of the trade complex, to open trade outlets in Ashgabat city and provinces, to provide trade with quality goods in a wide range, including national souvenirs and memorable gifts.
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova, supervising the sphere of culture, was assigned to organize cultural and mass events during the jubilee year, to ensure the coverage of international events at the appropriate level in the media.
Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov together with the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure the development of the program of international events and compilation of the list of foreign delegations - participants of the celebrations.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, Hero-Arkadag noted that according to the relevant decree, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov is the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing State Committee, and in this regard, in order to hold the planned international events at a high level, instructed the members of the Organizing Committee to coordinate all issues with R. Meredov.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people instructed Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev to keep under strict control the arrival, reception and departure of guests by special flights, provision of quality communications, including Internet services, as well as provision of cars for high-ranking representatives of official delegations.
In connection with the upcoming international events, Hero-Arkadag instructed the participants of the meeting to closely cooperate with the relevant UN structural units within their supervised areas.
Hero-Arkadag instructed the members of the Organizing State Committee to prepare jointly a concept on holding high-level events in the year declared "International Year of Peace and Trust", the glorious holiday of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, and also noted that it is necessary to approach responsibly to the fulfillment of the set tasks.
