Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister spoke at a scientific-practical conference

Turkmen Foreign Minister R. Meredov spoke at the conference "Caspian Sea - Sea of Peace and Friendship". This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Meredov noted that within the framework of cooperation between the Caspian littoral states Turkmenistan advocates an integrated approach to ensuring security, economic development, environmental safety, navigation, rational use of natural resources, prevention of emergencies and other issues.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Turkmenistan seeks to strengthen cooperation not only with the countries of the region, but also with states outside the region, including in the format "Caspian Sea - Black Sea".

Meredov also noted Turkmenistan's readiness to continue cooperation with European partners in the implementation of the Trans-Caspian pipeline project. The Foreign Minister emphasized the special significance of the Caspian Sea ecology and the importance of preserving its biodiversity.
