A round table on the UNDP environmental project was held in Dashoguz province of Turkmenistan

A round table was held in Dashoguz on the topic of implementation of the project on conservation and rational use of natural resources in the Aral Sea water basins for multiple benefits. This project is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Turkmenistan jointly with UNDP. This is reported by the Internet edition: "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The round table discussed the formation of a regional working group, whose functions will include assistance in solving technical, organizational and other relevant tasks related to the project implementation.

The main objectives of the project are: neutralization of the phenomenon of land degradation in the Aral Sea region, restoration and rational use of natural resources on the Amu Darya coast. Investments in the project by the Global Environmental Facility, which is financing it, will allow making agriculture in the Turkmen Priaralie region as careful as possible.
